Accommodating persons with special needs

Those with a disability are best served by establishments (whether accommodation, restaurants, places of interest, cultural or leisure facilities, tourist offices or information kiosks) with Tourisme et Handicap accreditation.

The Tourist Office for Noyon in the Pays des Sources et Vallées

Every should have the right to holidays, leisure time and culture. It’s the Tourist Office’s job to help make this a reality! The Tourist Office has the following facilities:

  • a hearing loop. This system improves the quality of the sound transmitted. The Tourist Office assistant speaks into a microphone and their voice is transmitted directly to the ear of the hearing impaired person, either via an amplified headset or magnetic loop technology, should the user be fitted with a compatible hearing aid;
  • dictaphones. These provide a means of recording a conversation and information;
  • documentation about Noyon in braille. This is available for reference at the Tourist Office;
  • guided tours with sign language interpretation. By offering such visits and tours, the Tourist Office is hoping to highlight the profile of "accessible tourism".

The Deux Vallées Tourist Office

Those with special needs can also access the various services offered by the Deux Vallées Tourist Office:

  • the building was designed all on one level (reception, meeting room and disabled toilets);
  • hearing loop system;
  • dictaphones;
  • folder containing large print information on local places of interest.
