Les marchés

Noyon's "Marché Fr'anc

Noyon's “Marché Franc”
The first Tuesday of every month sees the whole town become a market! Stroll among a dazzling array of stall-holders at this unique and original event, with its
live animals such as chickens, ducks, rabbits, geese, sheep, puppies and even horses and donkeys. The origins of this market go back to the Middle Ages.
Its name comes from the firm (franc) handshake used to settle the sale of cattle.
